Meet The Board

Jason Nelson
Also known as (Coach Ty), he is a native of Thomasville. Jason has been coaching locally for the past 7 years but has been involved in coaching in some capacity for many many years. His passion started in playing sports in Thomasville. He has always wanted to coach and mentor the youth. There is no greater feeling than watching kids grow into productive young adults and this is what we are all here for to accomplish. Lets Go Raiders!!!

Lionel Stout 
Born and raised in Greensboro NC and has been coaching for 4 years usually coaching multiple sports. His major focus will be coaching baseball and football. His goal is to build character within the kids and make them a better person while improving there skill level. Always remember there are all student athletes... and the student always comes first. 

William "Eric" Butler
Is a Greensboro native. He graduated from Ragsdale High School. He is married and the father of 5 kids, including 4 boys. All of his children have been involved in a large variety of different sports. He has been involved in youth sports since 2006. He has 10 years of coaching experience including football, basketball and baseball on different levels and various age groups. In addition to coaching he has helped in many other ways including filming games, helping with off-season practices, conditioning and getting kids to and from games and practices. He truly enjoys teaching and mentoring kids. He is passionate about instilling sportsmanship and confidence into the kids that he is entrusted with. He emphasizes teamwork, respect, hard-work and growth. His goal is for EVERY youth to become a better teammate, person and athlete. 


Centellas "Chris" Jeffries
He is affectionately known as Coach Chris, is a native of Greensboro and graduate of Western Guilford High School. He is a Lab Technician for Olympic Products. He has volunteered for The City of Greensboro Parks and Recreation Department for 25 years coaching football, basketball and baseball. He has two children, Brayden and Camryn. 

Bianca Jeffries 
A Greensboro native who is a graduate of the illustrious James B. Dudley High School and a two-time graduate of the World-Renowned North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. She currently works as a teacher in Guilford County Schools. She has two children, Brayden and Camryn.

Mark Johnson
A Greensboro native who has been coaching and mentoring in the Greensboro area since 2002. He is passionate about teaching the youth fundamentals in sports as well as life lessons. He has coached football and basketball at various locations such as the Lewis, Craft, and Leonard Recreation Centers. Prior to coaching he played multiple sports such as football, basketball, and baseball growing up. His passion for coaching came from his inspiration Coach Richard Sisk who coached at Northeast Guilford High School. Marks favorite quote " Hard Work Beats Talent When Talent Doesn't Work Hard" 

Maranda Johnson
A Virginia native who has been involved with cheerleading, basketball, and the Greensboro Youth Council. She has received a bachelors degree in Laboratory Animal Science from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. She has been involved in the A&T student panel, Aggie Impact Scholars Program, and was a member of the Student Support Services. Maranda believes that preparing kids to be academically and athletically sound will help them transition to the Highschool level. 

Lionel Shoffner Jr.
A Greensboro native who has numerous experiences in coaching youth football and is excited to be apart of The Greensboro Raiders Organization. He has coached the ages 10-12 for four years at the Lewis Recreation center and one year at the Leonard recreation center under Coach Mark Johnson. He graduated from Elon University in 2011 with a Major in Sports and Event Management after playing middle linebacker for his entire college career. Prior to college he played fullback and linebacker at Grimsley High school. He and his wife Meredith have a baby boy Lionel III, who was born in October 2020

 Dejon Caldwell
A Greensboro native who has an extensive background in community service in youth enrichment in the community. His understanding of the importance that sports and team bonding began in his formative years playing football and basketball at the Lewis center, YMCA, and Page High School. In 2016, He received a Bachelors degree in Business from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. Since receiving his academic accolades he has become a Lead Account Manager for a portfolio company and is actively involved in the community as a Community Service Chair for Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated for Greensboro (NC) Alumni Chapter. Dejon is motivated to help build the foundation of this great organization and provide valuable input.
